			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Just a little something to get me on the map for the new year.  I bailed on running at the gym tonight.  Bit of a head cold and I fear I&#8217;ve lost some of my running mojo.  I just don&#8217;t have the urge to do it like I did a few weeks ago.  I do have the urge to be on a bike, though!  A couple of co-workers and I are challenging ourselves to take 3 spin classes each week.  This will be tough to do while getting my running miles in, but I am willing to take it on.  I&#8217;m planning on the 8 am spin class in the morning to get things kicked off right.

Much more comfortable ride.  It probably helped that I am now able to hang tough for all of the out of the saddle time, too&#8211;less overall time with my booty on that little seat! </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I really have to figure out how to break through where I am at in this training program.  Things are starting to hurt and I find myself progressively running more and more slowly.  The only redeeming thing I say about today&#8217;s run is that was outside and not on the treadmill.  It started out nicely with the snow coming down, but once the wind picked up, the flakes were getting in my eyes and stuck to my lashes and stuff.  Almost halfway through, I started having a pain in the outside of my low right calf and with each footfall it almost felt like my leg wanted to give out.  It doesn&#8217;t hurt now after the run, and it improved after I slowed my pace for a few minutes, but it was weird.  </p>
<p>I feel like I never got to push my cardio conditioning because my legs weren&#8217;t up to it.  At least I got the miles in, I guess.

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Mentally, this was one of the most difficult runs I&#8217;ve had lately.  I couldn&#8217;t relax into my stride and I just felt like I was all over the place on the treadmill.  Starting to feel that grind of too many miles on the treadmill, but it&#8217;s been tough to get outside lately.  My idea of my cold weather limit is not the same as the kiddo&#8217;s and I just can&#8217;t drag him out this time of year.  He spends some time with his dad late in the week next week&#8211;so hopefully I&#8217;ll get at least one outdoor run in over that time period. </p>
<p>I took my second spinning class earlier this week.  I really like it!  I actually ordered a couple pairs of cycling shorts so I can be a little more comfortable on the bike.  Typically during class I am ok, but afterwards I have pain in my sit bones and tail bone that make it uncomfortable to sit in my office chair for a few days.  Hopefully the shorts help.  I would like to have spinning as a cross training activity as I enjoy it way more than the elliptical and it feels like a much more diverse workout.  If my booty doesn&#8217;t hurt each time, I know I&#8217;m more likely to do it again! <img src='http://run4pancakes.sweat365.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />
